Our brooches are designed to be worn and enjoyed, but like all jewellery and decorative accessories, they benefit from a little care.
To keep your brooch looking its best, avoid dropping or knocking it against hard surfaces, as delicate details, finishes, crystals, enamel, acrylic, or plated elements can be damaged by impact. When not being worn, store your brooch in its box or a soft pouch to help protect it from scratches and dust.
Clean gently using a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishing cloths, perfumes, lotions, hairsprays, and harsh chemicals, as these may affect finishes over time.
While an occasional light shower or a little rain is unlikely to cause harm, brooches are not waterproof and should not be immersed in water or worn while bathing or swimming — so rain is fine, deep sea diving is still not recommended.
As many of our pieces are handcrafted or artisan-finished, slight variations in colour, texture, or finish are part of their individual character and charm.
